Being Together was initiated in Plum Village to support a basic transformation for profound change in peoples approach towards one another in the Middle East and throughout the world.

This was based on a deep understanding that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is not merely a local issue—but a manifestation of the wound of the whole world. Thich Nhat Hanh, Zen master and peace activist, brings a message of hope and faith that peace is possible by developing a culture of love and understanding. In this way one can transform conflict to peace within oneself.

We meet in Israel—people of all faiths—Israelis, Palestinians and friends of the international community and be together practicing mindfulness and deep listening.
